Kenyan hawking vegetables in a green Mercedes Benz G-Class, popularly known as the G-Wagon has gone viral with many questioning the motive and inspiration behind his business idea.
While selling grocery and daily commodities from the trunk of vehicles has become a common phenomenon in the country, it is the highly-valued German automobile that drew attention.
Kenyans.co.ke established that the entrepreneur hails from Kericho County and cells the groceries within the county's Central Business District. The vehicle in question was also a 1988 model of the G-Wagon model.
"I have spotted him a couple of times in town, at Uhuru Gardens, and around Immanuel AGC Church, next to Moi Gardens. I particularly love the G-Wagon, that's my dream car," a resident in Kericho stated.
Despite the car appearing to be seemingly dilapidated, the residents argued that it was operational. A section of its shell that was damaged was fitted with iron sheets while its side mirrors and door handles, as well as the interior, were disfigured.
The vehicle attracted the curiosity of vehicle enthusiasts and mechanics who set their eyes on restoring its lost glory and elegance.
Notably, the vehicle will require a thorough clean, panel beating, paint job and modification of its body. While the spare parts may be expensive, car enthusiasts argued that they were willing to take up the task.
"My next project," one car enthusiast wrote. "Can we partner?" a second user responded in reference to working together on revamping the vehicle.

The G-Wagon is synonymous with the affluent in society. President Uhuru Kenyatta, Citizen TV presenter Jeff Koinange, and Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi are among those driving the model in Kenya.
