President Kenyatta was accompanied by Prof George Magoha (Education), Joe Mucheru (ICT), Eugene Wamalwa (Defence), Fred Matiang’i (Interior), Monica Juma (Energy) and Margaret Kobia (Public Service and Gender).

"ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka sent their greetings and made a commitment of Ksh1 million each for the same. The CSs' also gave out Ksh1 million,” Uhuru stated.

Uhuru also announced that the Kenya Pipeline Corporation would donate its idle land next to the church for the construction of a junior secondary school in Pipeline estate. Further, two buildings would be put up at the AIC Pipeline Academy.

He affirmed that the new structures would address the problem of overcrowding experienced in schools, especially within the area.

To address the perennial water issue that has plagued the estate for years, Uhuru directed the National Metropolitan Services boss Mohammed Badi to find a lasting solution.

He also directed the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to fast-track the drilling of a borehole in order to fix the problem.

“I have talked to General Badi and he will be here next week to make sure the water problem is resolved,” Uhuru directed.

The President, while making a surprise appearance at the estate, addressed other political issues including the stoning of the chopper carrying Azimo la Umoja Presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga.

The Head of State called upon all political leaders to carry out their campaigns in a peaceful manner.
