A Ward representative aspirant in Nairobi has touched the hearts of many with a simple strategy that he hopes will hand him victory on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket.

Mwangi Kimani has been campaigning in the Central Business District (CBD) with vigour and he is urging his supporters to turn up in large numbers and support him during UDA nominations slated for Thursday, April 14.

His strategy has been preaching the bottom-up economic model that is being fronted by Deputy President William Ruto. Kimani told CBD voters that he will support the model in the Nairobi County Assembly should he clinch the seat in the August polls.

He opined that the electorate will benefit most from the bottom-up economic model as he rallied UDA supporters to vote for him during the nominations.

But what caught the attention of Nairobi residents is Kimani's honesty on what he will do with the salary that he stands to earn as a Member of the County Assembly.

He stated that since he does not have good teeth, he will make sure he gets a good set with the money he will earn. He noted that it's selfish for the voters to expect him to use his money on them rather than on himself.

Kimani pointed out that fixing his teeth will not leave the electorate broke but that will also be a service of some sort to a person they have elected.

His remarks left many in stitches and they argued that he was honest enough to tell them why he desperately wants to become a Ward Rep.

The man who was not smartly dressed noted that he has lost his teeth after living on the streets but he knows voters won't mind if he uses the money to get a new dental set.

Kenyans on Twitter applauded Kimani for his honesty and sincerity while campaigning on foot with many stating that Kimani is the first honest politician they have seen in this campaign season.

Some noted that although politicians have been asking for their votes, none of them has been honest and neither has revealed what they stand to gain when they clinch the various seats they are eyeing in the August polls.

Kimani also urged Kenyans to widely circulate his videos so that he can get an audience with UDA Presidential aspirant Dr William Ruto.
