Fans of former News anchor Betty Kyallo are counting days to the debut of her Kardashian-style reality series set to hit Showmax later this month.

Titled Kyallo Kulture, Betty will star alongside her two sisters Mercy and Gloria in what is touted as a 'dive into their personal lives.' It is scheduled to debut on June 17, 2022.

In a statement shared on Monday, June 6, the show's producer Eugene Mbugua noted that it took some convincing for the three sisters to accept their new roles.

The concept of the show was first floated in 2021 when Mbugua's company, D&R Studios, approached them to star in the show.

“Gloria, Mercy, and Betty represent the urban Kenyan woman. They’re hard-working entrepreneurs, they like to have fun, and they are not in any way held back by what society thinks of them. They’re strong and unapologetic. These are the things that attracted our production company, D&R Studios, to them.

“We spent many days shooting test footage to see if our idea was valid. We’ve had several pilots that had to be reworked and we’ve gone through a series of different storylines before settling on the season that we have now," stated the producer.

Although the two younger sisters are less popular than Betty, Mbugua explained that each of them possesses a quality unique to Kyallo Kulture that the audience will love.

“Each sister will share a key life story that they've never opened up about before. These stories are very personal to them, and have made them who they are today, from Betty’s childhood accident to Mercy’s IVF experience to Gloria’s childhood growing up without a father and so much more," he explained.

The first trailer of the show hints at an emotionally packed series that tests the bonds between the three sisters on different career paths.

The first season of the show, which contains 13 parts, is the latest installment under Mbugua's belt having created similar reality shows with the streaming platform.

They include Sol Family which gravitates around the lives of the four performers making up the Sauti Sol Band as well as This Love chronicling the marriage of David Mathenge, popularly Nameless and his wife Wahu Kagwi.

Previously, Betty Kyallo had revealed that the show's production forced her to pose her YouTube Show.
