The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) started uploading Forms 34B from various constituencies in the public portal, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

To access Forms 34B, you will have to log in to the IEBC portal and click on the icon showing Form 34A and a drop-down will appear that will include Forms 34B and 34C.

Once you click on Form 34B, you will be taken to a page where the results from the Forms 34B that have so far been uploaded are found.

At the moment the IEBC has uploaded the first forms 34B from Saboti Constituency, Trans Nzoia County; Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja has garnered 24,215, UDA's candidate William Ruto has 23,610,  Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah received169 and while Agano party leader David Mwaure got 66.

The presiding officer is required to count the votes garnered by each candidate and enter the respective votes in Form 34A, take a scanned image of that Form using the KIEMS device and transmit it to the presidential tallying centre.

They then avail a copy to the agents and observers and deliver the original to the constituency returning officer for onward transmission to the chairperson of the commission, who is the returning officer for the presidential election.

The constituency returning officer is required to collate all Forms 34A and prepare Form 34B and submit all the 34A together with the 34B to the presidential returning officer.

There can be no discrepancy between the results recorded in Form 34A at the polling station and those transmitted electronically or even those received by the returning officer because it is essentially the same form captured by the presiding officer, witnessed by the agents with a resultant five carbon copies.

In case of a discrepancy between Forms 34A and Forms 34B with respect to the entries for any polling station, the entry in the respective Forms 34A will be taken as the correct reflection of the results at the polling station.

IEBC on Tuesday, August 9, unveiled an online portal to enable Kenyans to keep track of and verify presidential results.

The move is seen as an attempt by the electoral body to promote transparency in the transmission of the results.

IEBC has allowed members of the public to access results declared across all the over 46,000 polling stations online in real-time.

Copies of the results in Forms 34A from all polling stations in the country's 47 counties can be accessed through forms(dot)iebc(dot)or(dot)ke/(dot).
