The race to become Kenya's fifth president narrowed to Azimio flag-bearer Raila Odinga and his UDA counterpart William Ruto.
As Raila and Ruto await for the presidential returning officer Wafula Chebukati to announce the winner, the results of how their respective coalitions performed in the other elective seats has been a talking point.
In the National Assembly (NA) elections, Odinga raided the Deputy President's Rift Valley backyard with Azimio candidates bagging 11 seats.
Kenyans.co.ke compiled a list of some of the constituencies in Ruto's turf that gave Raila a major boost:
Tiaty, Baringo County
The former Premier whitewashed the UDA candidate in Tiaty, Baringo county, garnering a total of 25,286 votes compared to Ruto's 5,721.
Notably, Azimio clinched Tiaty parliamentary seat through its KANU candidate William Kamket. Kamket polled 17,933 while UDA's Peter Ng’eleiyo managed only 110 votes.
Amid the 'yellow wave' in the Rift Valley region, the former ruling party not only survived but also floored the DP's party, even on its political deathbed.
Nakuru Town West, Nakuru County
In a county where the governor, senator, woman rep and majority of MPs were elected on Ruto's UDA party, Raila outclassed his arch rival in Nakuru Town West constituency.
The ODM chief beat the outgoing DP by 3,848 votes, with 36,824 ballots cast in his favour against his 32,982. The incumbent area MP, Samuel Arama retained his seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
Narok North, Narok County
Despite Narok county being termed as a potential swing vote, residents of Narok North constituency threw their weight behind President Uhuru Kenyatta's handshake partner.
Odinga bagged 51,722 votes, nearly quadrupling the votes cast in favour of his former Cabinet appointee - 14,940.
