A letter from the Moroccan Embassy in Nairobi consequentially changed the life of an 11-year-old student who lauded the country for helping President William Ruto's government.

The letter, hand-delivered to the family of Jayden Dixon Kaburu and signed by ambassador Abderrazzk Lasseel, acknowledged his brilliance and determination to pen a letter to King Mohammed VI.

The ambassador also expressed his delight at the impact the fertiliser had on Kaburu's family and the community at large.

"I hereby take the opportunity to thank you on behalf of the Kingdom of Morocco, for the brilliant boy you are. I'm delighted about the impact the fertiliser has had on both you and your family as well as on your community in Karatina. I encourage you to continue on the right path," the ambassador stated.

In his letter, the 5th-grade pupil from Karatina DEB Primary School stated that the high cost of living forced him to take up menial jobs to help the family make ends meet.

The boy also urged the two Heads of State to strengthen and deepen the current bilateral relations between the two countries.

"After learning of your intended help to our new president and people of Kenya with fertiliser which has been a thorn in our parents' flesh. Most of us have been working after school to contribute and lend a helping hand towards putting a meal on the table and school fees for elder siblings," Kaburu noted.

"Mine is to thank your countrymen and King for that noble deed. Please, it is my prayer you maintain it for the rest of our lifetime," he added.

The Moroccan King had lauded President Ruto for the win in the August 9 polls.

On his part, Ruto noted that the two countries would foster ties in different sectors such as trade, agriculture, health, tourism and energy for mutual growth.
