The newly-installed Director of Criminal Investigations Amin Mohammed has assured the wife of abducted Ethiopian Businessman Samson Tekklemichael of his tenacity in solving the disappearance case.

Speaking to the press on Wednesday, October 26, the wife, Milen Megzebo, noted that she had a meeting with the DCI boss at the institution's Kiambu headquarters.

She was pleased by Mohammed's handling of the case revealing that she had been given a chance to explain her situation for appropriate action.

"I won't leave until I get justice. I will not leave. I will not lose hope. My faith is there and of course my husband is alive.

"With the new DCI, of course we have hope. They have talked to us and given us a chance to explain our problems and we are happy," she explained.

Tekklemichael was abducted in November 201 while driving along a road in Kileleshwa in an incident that was caught on camera.

He was taken by plain-clothes police officers and the reason of his abduction was not given.

His whereabouts are still not yet known while the DCI made no breakthroughs in unraveling the mysterious abduction.

During the Wednesday meeting, Amin also met families of victims of extra-judicial killings believed to have been carried out by the disbanded Special Service Unit (SSU).

Amnesty International Kenya Director Irungu Houghton told the press that he was hopeful the rampant cases will end after the new regime took over the institution's reins.

"We are really anxious that the kinds of conditions that gave rise to the indiscipline and the lawlessness that has happened in special units is brought to an end as quickly as possible," he stated.

The country is still dealing with the disappearance of two Indians as well as the killing of a Pakistani journalist which has threatened to affect Diplomatic ties between Kenya and the two countries.
