Tragedy befell the family of a 22-year-old Kenyan woman working in Albania, Europe, after she fell from the second floor of an apartment.

The young lady had earlier been reported missing for about three hours before she was found in a deserted building with multiple severe injuries.

Her mother, in utter shock, flew from Kenya to Europe to take care of her daughter, who was reported to have slipped into a coma.

The embattled mother learnt that the incident occurred in August 2022, and her daughter has been battling for her life ever since.

Medics monitoring her progress stated that she was being fed through a tube at a hospital in Tirana city.

"The doctors said she had three broken ribs, both pelvic bones broken, in a coma due to lack of oxygen, and injuries in her hand, back, and stomach, among others.

"We still do not know what happened to her," the mother told Exit, an Albanian media house.

The victim's mother lamented that the police did not provide a conclusive report on what transpired to the 22-year-old.

"I found the police not helpful, there was little information. They said the case was with the prosecutor, and I needed a lawyer.

"I have found an NGO lawyer that is helping," the mother explained.

She also pleaded with wellwishers to intervene and help fly her daughter to a better health facility in either Kenya or Europe.

The mother and daughter have been receiving help from a woman in Albania who detailed the victim's progress since the incident.

"We want to get her to another hospital where she can get the help she needs. We need help to do this," the Albanian woman concurred with the patient's mother.

The family plans to hold a fundraising concert on Saturday, November 5, to raise money for the victims' private physiotherapy sessions.
