Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Park appeared on CN Traveller’s list of the best trip destinations in 2022.

CN Traveller, a leading travel and luxury newspaper based in London, published a list of destinations selected by editors and ranked them based on their experiences.

According to the Magazine's editor, Maasai Mara park presented her with a lifetime experience of wild animals in their natural setting.

She recounted encountering a lion walking just next to their truck at dusk as they silently watched.

The editor also recounted a breathtaking experience where a pair of cheetahs fell off a cliff while on a hunting expedition.

She went on to acknowledge the diligence of a tour guide, whom she said was instrumental to her experience.

According to her, the guide’s knowledge and empathy towards animals made the visit to Maasai Mara park stand out from others in the world.

“This was the year when I finally got to experience safari for the first time, courtesy of a trip to Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve as part of a story assignment.

“I knew the experience would be something else, of course, but nothing could have prepared me for the moment when we stopped to watch two cheetah brothers on the hunt together, peered over the top of a cliff edge to observe hippos basking in a river, or when a lion strode calmly passed our truck at dusk,” she stated.

The Maasai Mara Park is one of the leading destinations for tourists and has several accolades to its name owing to its special amenities.

The park has modernistic lodges which have put Kenya on the global map as a notable tourist destination.

In addition, the park has a high population of lions, elephants, leopards, and other animals in the "Big Five" category hence providing one of the best opportunities to have a glimpse of their natural setting.
