A bishop was accused of faking his own death in order for his daughter to benefit from a Ksh450,000 scholarship.

The church leader was smoked out after he tried to enroll another child in the scholarship program.

Muli Kituku, the founder of the Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope Foundation blew the lid on the matter.

“Some wealthy people try to take advantage of Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope Foundation because they know we help needy children.

“There is a bishop from Kitengela who feigned death so that our foundation can sponsor his daughter,” Kituku narrated.

The bishop according to Kituku, brought his daughter to the foundation in 2018 and lied about their relationship.

“He told us the girl was from a very needy family and we were moved hence giving her a scholarship,” Kituku explained how the foundation was scammed.

According to the foundation’s records, Kituku revealed that they had spent Ksh450,000 on school fees.

“The Ksh450,000 is just the tuition fees, we have not included costs incurred during academic and sports trips and other benefits,” he revealed.

Kituku revealed that the bishop could have continued scamming the foundation if not for a background check that was conducted.

“A background check revealed that the bishop owned an expensive car and was a wealthy person.

“Despite these revelations, the bishop tried to bring another daughter using the initial narrative,” Kituku revealed.

Caring Hearts Foundation has sponsored over 700 needy students in Kenya to acquire education.

“The foundation was started in 2010 to help needy students access high school and university education.

“We have two branches one in Nguluni, Makueni, and another in Kangundo, Machakos where we have been able to sponsor over 700 students,” Kituku spoke of the success of his foundation.
