Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Director General Ezra Chiloba revoked the courier licences of the North Rift Luxury Shuttle among those of three other companies.
In a Gazette Notice published on Friday, January 27, Chiloba indicated that the notice would take effect in seven days.
The other companies that were affected by the order included Concierge East Africa Limited, Sokwe Deluxe Safaris Limited and Eagle Saints Limited.
"Once revoked, the licensees listed above shall not be authorised to provide the services applicable to the relevant licences.
"The revocation of these licences may affect the public and local authorities, companies, persons or bodies of persons within the country,' read the statement in part.
However, the DG failed to provide reasons that had led to the revocation only noting the process followed the law.
Further, members of the general public who had reservations over the decision were advised to submit their objections in writing to Chiloba's office.
"The Authority wishes to notify the general public that any legal or natural person, or group of individuals, who are desirous of making any representations and/or any objection to the said revocation of the licences, as aforementioned, must do so by a letter.
"Letter should be addressed to, the Director General, Communications Authority of Kenya, CA Centre, Waiyaki Way, PO Box 14448-00800, Nairobi, indicating the licence category on the cover enclosing it," added the notice in part.
The three companies are yet to issue a response over the revocations.
In recent years, various shuttles have been issued with courier licences as they offer fast delivery services given the short duration of time on the road.
