KEBS Announces 108 Vacancies: How to Apply

Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) announced a mass recruitment drive targeting different levels of skills across various departments. 

In a notice published on Tuesday, January 31, the bureau posted 108 vacancies ranging from principal office administrator, legal officer, and supply chain officers to accountants.  

Others include security officers, administration officers, quality Assurance officers, inspection officers, market surveillance officers, laboratory analysts, metrology officers, certification officers and standards officers. 

The final positions, drawn from different departments, included Assistant Customer Care Officers, Assistant Technicians in the Metrology department, and Assistant Technicians at the testing Laboratory department.

Interested applicants were advised to send their applications on or before February 15, 2023, at 5:00 pm. 

According to KEBS, the advertised positions are in line with its mandate to provide standardisation, metrology and conformity assessment services through the promotion of standardisation in commerce and industry. 

The bureau affirmed that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted. In addition, academic qualifications of external origin were required to be accompanied by a recognition and equation certificate from the relevant body of Kenya.

All degree applicants for engineering-related qualifications must be registered as graduate engineers. Persons with disability and suitable female candidates were encouraged to apply. 

The bureau warned that it does not charge any fee in the recruitment process. All applicants must also comply with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya which deals with Leadership and Integrity. 

How to Apply

Interested and qualified candidates are required to submit applications in either two formats; softcopy to recruitment(at)kebs(dot)org or hardcopy sent by post or hand delivered to KEBS HQ office addressed to the Managing Director's Office based along Mombasa Road. 

The letter ought to indicate the vacancy name on the envelope and should be submitted by the stipulated deadline. 

The candidates were advised to attach a cover letter, a detailed Curriculum Vitae with full details on their educational background, professional qualifications and relevant experience together with copies of testimonials, academic certificates and a National Identification card.
