"Thank you for your support and warm words so far.  Mummy was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer (stage IV) in 2017.  She has walked the journey for the past 5 years,” she announced.

Siahi explained how her mother had recovered from cancer only for the illness to re-occur.

“From 2018 to 2019, she was on chemotherapy and got well.  In 2021, she experienced cancer recurrence and began chemo afresh. Since then, mum's body has changed.

"She later developed complications that destroyed her vital stomach organs and eventually led to bleeding, before succumbing to excessive bleeding on Sunday, January 29, 2023,” she stated.

The radio queen received news that her mother had succumbed to cancer just after beginning her morning show Shangwe na Utukufu.

She was forced to leave the show to her co-host Frank The Deejay, who confessed to having run the show in a very challenging moment after his colleague stormed out.

Siahi revealed that her mother had served as a teacher, showering her with praises for her amazing parenting skills.

“I owe all that I am or ever hope to be to my angel mother. I know everyone calls heaven so beautiful- because it has my mother. I miss you, mom. Never to be seen again!

"Being a teacher, she was not just my mother. She was a mother to every pupil she taught,” she uttered.
