Mwanaisha Chidzuga Returns as Radio 47 Unveils Team of 12 [LIST]

Former K24 and KTN anchor Mwanaisha Chidzuga is set for a comeback on the airwaves after joining the newly established Radio 47.

According to a detailed programme lineup released by the station on Tuesday, March 7, Chidzuga who was shortlisted for Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) post is among a host of media personalities unveiled.

"Malkia Chidzuga is here to give you the best mix of entertainment as you go through your work day," the station announced.

She will host the Mchikicho show from 10 am to 1 pm.

The radio station is owned by Cape Media, which also owns TV47.

It is set to launch on Monday, March 13, and the management has assembled top media personalities after raiding its competitors, mainly, Radio Maisha, and Milele FM.

Apart from Chidzuga, others include Dr. Ofweneke, Eva Mwalili, Emmanuel Mwahumbe, Mkamburi Chigogo, Billy Miya, Mbaruk Mwalimu, Manucho the Young Turk, Liz Mutuku, Eric Wambugu the O.G, Ali Hassan, and Lucky.

Eva Mwalili alias Mama Taifa, previously from Milele FM will host Nuru 47 from 4 am to 6 am. The show will seek to inspire the listeners as they start the day.

Emmanuel Mwashumbe and Mkamburi Chigogo will host Breakfast 47 from 6 am to 10 am. This show is described as an entertaining fast paced breakfast show with all the best ingredients- news, big discussions, fun, and games.

From 1 pm to 3 pm, Manucho the Young Turk will host the Baze 47 show. A show about entertainment, celebrities, what's trending, and the next big thing. This show will target the young and young at heart.

On the other hand, Billy Miya and Mbaruk Mwalimu previously from Radio Maisha will host Maskani from 3 pm to 7 pm. This is the station's evening drive show.

At 8 pm, comedian and TV host Sande Bush popularly known as Dr. Ofweneke will start the Chemba Show ending at 11 pm.

"A seriously funny doctor trying to make us look at common issues affecting relations from a male perspective," the station announced.

Meanwhile, some of the weekend shows include Bahari La Elimu, Sato Vibe, Mikiki ya Spoti, Saturday Night Live, Radio 47 Jumapili, Kali za Kale, and Kikao cha Hoja.

Ali Hassan Kaluleni will host the Bahari la Elimu show on Saturday between 7 am and 11 am. The show targets students, teachers, and institutions.

Mkamburi Chigogo will make a second appearance to host Sato Vibe from 11 am to 3 pm. While Ali Hassan and Lucky will host the Mikiki ya Spoti from 3 pm to 7 pm.

To close the day, Billy Miya will host Saturday Night Live from 7 pm to 12 am.

On Sunday, Eva Mwalili will host Radio 47 Jumapili from 5 am to 10 am. From 10 am to 4 pm, the station will have a gospel automated session.

Eric Wambugu the O.G. will host the Kali za Kale show from 4 pm to 6 pm, playing the greatest oldies to the audience.

Finally, Liz Mutuku, an anchor on TV47 will host the Kikao cha Hoja show from 6 pm. The 60 minutes political talk show will include policymakers, government representatives, and politicians.
