Motorists on Wednesday, April 5, complained of an error on the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) portal which indicated that some Driving Licenses were not linked to the users' profiles.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, a source from NTSA revealed that most users tend to click links that previously worked hence redirecting them to an older version of their site.
The source added that a lot of links for different services generally confused the users while navigating the site.
She advised all users to head to the landing page at NTSA's official website www(dot)ntsa(dot)go(dot)ke to access all services.
In addition, other users complained that they could not access the services claiming that the Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS) site was not loading.
A spot check by Kenyans.co.ke, however, revealed that the TIMS website was functioning properly.
Update
NTSA recently introduced new features for users seeking to renew their Smart DLs.
The seven-step process involved accessing the Authority's official page and finding the DL renewal service under the Online Services tab.
Further, users are required to fill in the information required and make the requisite payments. According to NTSA, the renewal of the three-year license costs Ksh3,050.
Motorists with queries were directed to send their questions to dlqueries(at)ntsa(dot)go(dot)ke.
In addition, users were advised to check the service status under Application History.
NTSA also clarified that the smart DLs would be collected after five working days from the centre identified through the application process.
