Media personality Oga Obinna on Tuesday, April 25, parted ways with Radio Africa Group a year after he joined the media house.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, a source privy to the matter affirmed that he had cleared with the company on Tuesday and would no longer appear on Kiss FM's morning show alongside Sheila Kwamboka, better known as Kwambox.
Additionally, reports indicated that Obinna's contract had expired.
Prompted on his tenure at the station, Obinna described it as a great opportunity during the one-year period he served at the station.
"It was beautiful. I have achieved my dream, I have done everything I wanted to do. So, everything I do or achieve from now is extra," he indicated.
He pointed out that he would resume content creation while at the same time concentrating on other personal matters.
In addition, Obinna heaped praises on Radio Africa Group's management - lauding them for how they treated their employees.
"I have worked in organisations where they did not care about their employees. But here, I dressed the way I wanted and did my own thing.
"If I get another opportunity on radio, I will go back there and do any show whether breakfast or drive. I will do it for the money. It used to be for the love, but we can't feed our children with love, it is for the money," he stated.
Obinna replaced Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o in February 2022 after he exited the station to pursue politics. At the time, Obinna worked with media personality Kamene Goro who also called it quits on January 19, 2023.
Kwambox then moved in to replace Kamene on the station's morning show.
