Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) deputy party leader Cleophas Malala embraced Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya, days after claiming that Natembeya works for the NIS.
In a video posted on social media by Governor Natembeya's media team on November 21, 2025, the two leaders were seen embracing each other.
The video shows natembeya and malala embracing as the crowd in backround is heard clapping.
This event happened few days after Cleophas Malala accused Governor Natembeya of working with the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Malala claimed during a campaign rally in Kisia East on November 14, 2025, that Natembeya is being used by the NIS to weaken the opposition from within.
During this rally, Malala accused Natembeya of declining to leave the Kisia East ward seat for the DCP candidate as per the united opposition agreement.
Malala alleged that DCP had agreed to leave the Malava parliamentary seat for the DAP-K candidate, Seth Panyako.
Top united opposition leaders are in the western region as they campaign for their candidates ahead of the November 27 by-elections.
The united opposition seems to have intensified campaigns against the broad-based government in the by-elections.
