Govt Advertises Permanent & Pensionable Jobs; How to Apply

The Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), on Tuesday, June 6, announced 25 vacant positions on a permanent and pensionable basis.

In a statement, the state corporation stated that it was looking for highly experienced, motivated, and results-oriented individuals to fill the vacancies. 

"The applicant must be a self-driven individual focused and committed to driving the corporation towards achieving its mandate. 

"They will work with the departmental team in spearheading/embracing innovation, and must have high work ethics and level of integrity," REREC announced.

Some advertised jobs include Principal Construction Engineer, Principal Operations and Maintenence Engineer, Senior Construction Engineer, Cartographer, Wayleaves Officer, Security Officer, and Driver.

How to Apply

REREC urged all interested candidates to make their applications through a standard one-page letter and attach a detailed CV, copies of academic certificates, a copy of ID/passport, and any other relevant supporting documents.

Additionally, all applicants must complete the Bio Data form to be obtained from the corporation's official website and send the Excel to the Chief Executive Officer at jobs@rea.co.ke.

The corporation warned that all Portable Document Format (PDF) and scanned bio data forms will be rejected.

All applications should be sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation, Kawi House, Block C/South C-Bellevue, P.O Box 34585-00100, Nairobi.

"Interested and qualified candidates are requested to submit hard copies of their applications together with their updated curriculum vitae, and certified copies of academic certificates on or before the closing dates," read part of the job posting.

All qualified persons, including physically challenged, youth, minority groups, and female candidates, were encouraged to apply.

"Only short-listed candidates will be contacted and will be required to present several clearance certificates, including tax compliance from the Kenya Revenue Corporation (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) clearance forms, a valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and a current report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

All applications should be sent before Monday, June 26, 2023.
