With its breathtaking landscapes and favorable climates, Kenya offers enchanting nature trails at little or no cost at all.

Mt Longonot Trail

Located in the Kijabe area of the Rift Valley, this trail is renowned for its challenging nature, hence why it attracts experienced hikers.

Spanning around 11.6 kilometers, the trail typically requires an average of 5 hours and 30 minutes to complete.

Adults visiting the area are charged Ksh250 while children tickets go for Ksh200.

Oloolua Nature Trail 

Stretching for a panoramic 3.5 kilometers, this trail is nestled in Kajiado County.

Compared to the challenging Mt Longonot trail, this path offers a relatively easier hike, typically most hikers cover the stretch within an hour.

Renowned among bird watchers, the trail attracts plenty of foreign and domestic visitors with a fee of Ksh200 for adults and Ksh100 for children.

Sykes Monkey Trail

Located within Karura Forest in the outskirts of Nairobi, the Sykes Monkey trail is a hiking enthusiasts favourite. It stands out as one of the country's longest trails, spanning an impressive 11 kilometers.

Despite the considerable length, the trail is considered moderately challenging, typically requiring three hours to complete.

The charges are Ksh200 for adults and Ksh100 for children.

Nairobi Safari Walk

Domiciled within Nairobi National Park, the Nairobi Safari Walk is an exciting nature trail that can be completed in around 2 hours.

This captivating trail presents hikers with the opportunity to traverse the crocodiles idle, the savanna grasslands, and explore a serene woodland area.

The park charges Ksh250 and Ksh125 for adults and children respectively.

Ol Njorowa Gorge

Located in Hell's Gate in Nakuru County, the Ol Njorowa Gorge hiking trail is one of the most popular hiking destinations in the country, spanning an impressive 25 kilometers.

The duration to complete the trek varies based on the hiker's experience, typically ranging between 3 to 6 hours.

The trail's popularity is due to its hot water springs and wildlife.
