Kameme FM radio presenter Muthee Kiengei has picked a fight with National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah for constantly criticising the radio station.

While addressing the Kikuyu Member of Parliament on Live Air, Kiengei claimed that Ichung'wah reportedly labelled him and his colleague Gatonye Mbugua as class eight dropouts who had no business discussing Kenya's debt situation.

The radio host played an audio clip claiming that Ichung'wah accused them of misinforming the readers that the Kenya Kwanza administration had acquired Ksh4.5 trillion in the current financial year.

Ichung'wah was also alleged to have trolled the presenters for not doing basic Maths. The audio claimed that the government could not borrow an amount greater than the current budget of Ksh3.6 trillion.

In particular, Ichung'wah linked the station to the family of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"This Kamehemehe FM, a presenter who is from my constituency and is illiterate, a class eight dropout who knows nothing about Finance. The presenter was misinforming the country that Kenya has borrowed to the tune of Ksh4.5 trillion in this financial year," the audio alleged to have captured Ichung'wah's voice claimed.

"You would understand why a presenter, based on the ownership of Kameme FM, would be intent on deliberately misinforming the country on the level of debt."

While responding to the claims, Kiengei questioned how the current administration had treated the same 'hustlers' whom they promised to uplift their lives in their manifesto.

"I will not be afraid to say that we see how you have treated the hustlers in the country. That we should not talk about matters of the economy. So people who have dropped out of class 8 is who you are targetting?" he posed.

"Who are the people who voted for you? Aren't they the hustlers? If your votes are divided and unlearned people are removed, what would you be left with? If a class 8 dropout came and talked to you, wouldn't you listen to his plea? Or do you prefer your learned class?"

While addressing the loan claims, Kiengei added that their remarks were based on the amount that the Kenya Kwanza government had been promised by the World Bank and other financial institutions.

"You tell us that we lied, but let me educate you as a class 8 dropout, even if you take a loan right now and plan to take another one next week, a loan is still a loan. Since you are more learned than us, tell us if we are wrong," he noted

He added that the Kenya Kwanza government should focus on its mandate of uplifting the economy and lowering the cost of living instead of sideshows that won't be of help.

"Do you need a degree or a Ph.D. to know that the country's economy is not right, floods are causing mayhem and the cost of living is high?"

"I wish you could go to Parliament and tell us about the hawker whose groundnuts were spilt by Kanjos, or others who were also harassed while doing business. Why not talk about those being evicted from their homes in different places across the country?" he wondered.
