Saboti MP Caleb Amisi on Tuesday opened up  on threats against his life following numerous phone calls and messages from unknown people allegedly representing a certain politician.

The MP, who had reported the case to the police station in Kitale evidenced by the Occurrence Book (OB) details shared on his social media, blamed the individual whom he claimed was the reason behind his woes.

“It has been reported to the relevant authority that my life is in danger, including this morning. I have given all the details and information necessary for action to be taken,” he stated in a post.

According to the threats he was receiving, the MP added that the politician, whom he did not name was after him since he (Amisi) was not attending the said individuals' rallies.

“ I am told I am the only MP who never attends events of a certain known leader in this country, and I must be punished,” Amisi added.

Amisi sounded an alarm stating that going forward, he would not be reporting the cases of threats anymore but intends to deal with them himself.

His intention henceforth, he said, will be to seek permission to completely annihilate any individual following him with a hidden agenda of an attempt on his life.

“You will soon cry out the name of whoever sent you,” he warned

Further, the MP warned that he would be revealing evidence, which he is still gathering about the people who were persistently threatening him.

“I will soon provide evidence from phone calls to WhatsApp messages of all manner of intimidation I continue to receive daily and am still gathering more evidence,” he stated.

The second term Saboti MP is also serving as a Member Defence & Foreign Relations Committee in Parliament.

Caleb Amisi defended his seat as Member of Parliament of Saboti on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket in the August 2022 poll.
