Former Citizen TV News Anchor Jacque Maribe has landed a job at Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria's office.

Kuria hired the former screen siren to serve as the Head of Communications, barely a month after she was acquitted in the murder of the late Monica Kimani.

Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi celebrated Maribe's feat by thanking the Public Service CS for 'standing with a generation.'

"Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve," shared the digital strategist.

"Thank you Honourable Moses Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand."

Murder Case

On February 9, Lady Justice Grace Nzioka found Maribe not guilty in the murder case of Nairobi businesswoman Monica Kimani.

In her ruling, the judge observed that there was no concrete evidence to prove that the former news anchor was involved in the murder which occurred on September 19, 2018.

Maribe had been charged alongside her former boyfriend Joseph Irungu alias Jowie who was found guilty of the offence.

"The evidence of the prosecution against the second accused person did not place her in the house of the deceased on the material night. There was no evidence that she had ever communicated with the deceased."

"The result is that the prosecution did not adduce any evidence for this court to find the second accused guilty of the offence of murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani on the night of September 19, 2018," she ruled.

Job Recap

Maribe's shine in the media industry was dimmed shortly after the murder case came to light in 2018 forcing her to leave her Citizen TV anchoring job.

As the case continued, she briefly returned to the station as an editor but quit months later, in July 2019.

Soon after, she launched a talk show on YouTube which was shut down after a few guest hosts made appearances including Moses Kuria and Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata who was Senator at the time.
