After Winning Sh20 Million Jackpot, Kisumu Man Marries Second Wife

Barely four months after winning a Sh20 Million jackpot from a local betting company, 63-year-old Joseph Onywera has unveiled a new wife in a glamorous Sh200,000 party held in Kisumu.

The new millionaire threw one of the most elaborate bashes where two bulls were slaughtered, 15 chicken faced the knife, a sheep and a goat also fell victim to Onywera's new found wealth.

“We also bought 100 kilogrammes of rice, several crates of soda, bottled water and other necessary things used in cooking. The ceremony cost Sh200,000,” Onywera stated.

The ceremony, attended by close friends and relatives, lasted for two days and was presided over by the local catholic priest.

Onywera’s first wife run away from his house a few years ago after he was unable to fend for his family.

As is the case in such incidents, the first wife has already sent emissaries to her former husband pleading for forgiveness.

“I have never lived with another man since I left my home in Kisumu. I know that is where I belong, and that is where I will be buried, so I am just requesting him to accept me back,” Regina Onywera pleaded.

The second wife, Phoebe Atieno, is much younger and had previously dated Onywera before she moved to Uganda.

With his new found fortune, the man who managed to predict 13 games was able to track her down and she agreed to marry him.

Apart from investing in a new wife, Onywera has also bought a 14-seater matatu and a pickup which he hopes to use to get into the transport business.

He also confirmed that he has built three houses in Kisumu town which have taken the bulk of his money.
