A Kenyan woman is alleged to have drained the finances of her American husband with whom they have two children..
The court heard that Mrs Karungari Gacoki Murigu Bennet, who had been married to Mr John Eugene Bennet for seven years, denied her husband access to their accounts which are under her name.
The American national, who was overcomed by emotions breaking into tears, told Chief Magistrate Daniel Ogembo that his wife was setting him up for deportation so she could inherit his property together with her mother.
He further said that his wife who works at the Central Bank of Kenya had gone ahead to deny him access to their two kids despite their pending divorce case at the Milimani Court.
Mr Bennet asked the court to have mercy on him despite being hit with another case of being in the country illegally, charges that he denied.
Bennet was released on a Sh 100,000 bond and was ordered to surrender his passport with his case being set for hearing on November 16.
This comes weeks after a Kenyan man was found to have been entangled in a web of 47 international women he met online. He was reported to have swindled their money through lies before being busted by one of the 'wives' in his money milking scam.
