A Belgian investor has reportedly been killed in Mtwapa, Kilifi county.
According to Head of Tourist Police Unit, Wilberforce Sicharani, three gunmen raided the investor's home on Sunday, shooting him after a confrontation.
The deceased who was married to a Kenyan woman is said to have been operating several restaurants in the town and had lived in the country for almost 20 years, the Star reports.
The gunmen who allegedly escaped in a private car, made away with an unknown amount of cash and jewellery from the man's house.
The police have spoken to the man's wife as investigations continue to establish the motive of the attackers.
The body was taken to Pandya hospital for autopsy.
