Traffic flow along Thika Superhighway was halted on Thursday after boda boda operators barricaded the road with burning tyres near juja town in Kiambu County.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, one of the locals divulged that the riders were demanding the release of one of their colleague who had been arrested.
According to the resident, the boda boda operator breached traffic rules before he was nabbed by police officers.
By the time of reporting, police had arrived at the scene to clear the road which is creating heavy traffic towards town.
