Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye has warned residents of his county to build sanitary facilities or risk being arrested.
Nkedianye directed the county's administration officers to apprehend those who did not have toilets at their homes.
The Kajiado Governor further indicated that it was an offence not to have a latrine in a homestead.
He added that his government had done enough to educate the residents on the importance of proper sanitation.
‘‘My administration cannot afford to gamble with the health of residents," he stated.
This comes after reported cases of cholera outbreak in Tharaka Nithi, where two people reportedly died with 114 others hospitalised.
