A businessman in Eldoret town has committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of a building, after stabbing his wife several times.
Gideon Koech and his wife Priscah Cherop are said to have been invited for arbitration by a lawyer at the KVDA plaza.
Afterwards, the couple left together, but a few minutes later Cherop was heard screaming.
Her husband had turned on her and stabbed her several times leaving her for dead as he jumped through the window, Citizen news reports.
Koech hit the pavement below the KVDA plaza, one of the tallest buildings in Eldoret town dieing instantly.
The injured woman is currently receiving treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
