Chaos at ODM Headquarters as Nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro Stormed Orange House

Police fired gunshots at the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) headquarters at Orange House after Nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro stormed the offices with "an army of supporters".

Reports indicated that Ongoro and her supporters tried to storm the ODM Executive Director's office over an alleged plot to bar her from vying for the Ruaraka Parliamentary seat.

Angry women are said to have undressed and roughed up ODM's Executive Director, Oduor Ongwen causing chaos that saw police called in.

Senator Ongoro stormed the ODM offices after she was agitated by the party's move to hand MP Tom Kajwang’ a direct nomination ticket for the Ruaraka parliamentary seat, which she is eyeing.

Speaking at Orange House, the nominated senator vowed to vie for Ruaraka parliamentary seat under the NASA ticket.

"If ODM won't allow me to contest for Ruaraka parliamentary seat I'll announce my next move, but it definitely has to be in NASA," Ongoro stated.

At the same time, she claimed that Kajwang was after her life.
