Could This Be The Cure for Cancer?

Scientists have found a code to turn off cancer.

They are said to have done this in an experiment where they made cancerous breast and bladder cells non-malignant.

The new drug is aimed at disarming and rendering cancer harmless, unlike ordinary cancer drugs which work by killing cancer cells.

The findings, from the US based experiment, will help cub the disastrous disease that has led to the death of many worldwide.

According to the Kenya Medical Research Institute's (Kemri) - Nairobi Cancer Registry - 40,000 new cancer cases are reported annually, out of which about 27,000 end in death.

Cancer treatment in Kenya has had major setbacks due to insufficient medical facilities and the high treatment cost.

Reports from the experiment indicated that the approach will apply to most cancers except brain and blood cancers.

The drug, however, still under experiment will benefit Kenya as the disease is ranked the third highest killer after infectious and cardiovascular diseases.
