Deputy President William Ruto Accused of Grabbing Land in Kwale

National Super Alliance (NASA) Co-Principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula have cautioned residents of Kwale County against Deputy President William Ruto's frequent visits to the county.

The Co-Principals claim that the Deputy President's close ties to Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya, who recently defected to Jubilee Party, indicate suspicious dealings.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo and Ford Kenya's Wetangula claim that DP Ruto is plotting to sieze land where rich mineral deposits have been found in order to claim mineral wealth in the county for himself.

"Someone has recently acquired 3,000 acres of land in Kwale after the discovery of nobium," former Vice President Kalonzo alluded.

Kalonzo maintained that the said person was a Jubilee politician who he refused to name but claimed had "an insatiable appetite for land".

The Co-Principals who addressed opposition supporters in Kinango Kwale demanded an investigation of the sources of DP Ruto's "vast" wealth.

"He has been calling himself a hustler. He has gone around the country buying hotels and land worth billions of shillings," Wetangula accused.

They accused Governor Mvurya of joining Jubilee to seek asylum for misappropriation of funds instead of protecting Kwale's mineral wealth and using devolved funds to build roads or to combat poverty.

"Your governor has misappropriated money that could have been used to build roads and now he is busy begging Uhuru Kenyatta for handouts," Wetangula told Kwale residents.
