ODM leader Raila Odinga has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta against threatening Mbita Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo with arrest.
This is after the legislator lost her cool on Tuesday in Parliament and hurled insults at the Head of State in full glare of cameras.
Speaking in Homa Bay County, Odinga stated that Kenyatta had previously abused him in public but he (Raila) had not taken action against him.
"When Millie told him off, he also retorted by branding her as stupid. He also stood before his parent at his backyard and branded me as a mad man but I did not even bother to respond or sue him," the former Prime Minister stated.
Oding added, "I can equally call him names but opted to steer clear because he is not my age mate”.
The Opposition leader praised CORD MPs for their resilience in Opposing amendments to the current Election Laws.
The former premier went ahead and warned that there would be no Elections in 2017 if any amendments were made to the laws.
Jubilee is proposing the use of a manual system in case the digital one fails in some parts of the country, a decision the Opposition has vehemently opposed claiming its a way of rigging the polls.
However, speaking on Tuesday at the KICC, Kenyatta stated that the National Assembly was a house of democracy where people had the freedom to insult him and went ahead to send the legislator a Merry Christmas card.
“To the left is the National Assembly representing our democracy and ability of some idiots there to continue insulting me but that's their freedom,” the Head of State said when he ushered the festive season.
Meanwhile, Odhiambo's insults to Kenyatta have sparked outrage from leaders allied to Jubilee with some even calling for her arrest.
