DP Ruto Wants to Become Like Museveni – Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto Claims

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, who was a former close friend of Deputy President William Ruto, now claims that the DP is looking to become like Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV, Ruto disclosed that DP Ruto's best friend was Museveni and that he was looking to treat the Opposition same way Ugandan President treats Kizza Besigye (the Opposition leader).

"His best friend is Museveni of Uganda... You see how Museveni is dealing with Besigye... That is the William Ruto you are looking for... It is only a matter of time that he will put on the same head as Museveni," Ruto stated.

The Bomet Governor, who is considered a Jubilee rebel, stated that Ruto will exactly do the same thing to those opposing him.

Ruto divulged that he was not a rebel but clashed with DP after the Government started fighting his projects in Bomet and dishing out money to entice leaders to Jubilee.

The DP and the Governor were close allies but they had a major fallout after the latter declined to join Jubilee and formed his own party Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), which he intends to defend his seat own.

Since then, the two don't see eye to eye and the Jubilee administration has vowed to send the Governor home in a region perceived to be a key stronghold for the ruling coalition.

During a recent tour in Rift Valley, President Uhuru Kenyatta lashed out at the Governor and termed him a traitor for abandoning Jubilee after he was elected.
