Drama ensued at Kisumu County Assembly after angry residents and activists locked out members of county assembly barring them from entering the assembly.
The angry mob used huge chains and surrounded the assembly, chanting anti MCA slogans. They were protesting what they called constant wrangles in the assembly.
Police had to be called in to saw off the chains and protect the assembly staff.
The youths claimed that the recent incident where Deputy Speaker Pamela Omino was injured while trying to chair assembly sessions was an embarrassment to the county.
They called on the dissolution of the assembly.
