Evelyne Njambi Thungu in 2016 Miss World Top 5 List

A 22-year-old Kenyan student on Sunday night emerged among the top five winners in the 2016 Miss World beauty pageant.

Evelyne Njambi Thungu was named in the top list at a grand ceremony held in Washington D.C., USA.

Ms Njambi, who is the current title holder of Miss World Kenya, was in the competition with 117 other contestants across the globe.

The interior design student hails from Kiambu and distinguished herself with the tag: Spread love wherever you go during the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant.

Ms Njambi stated that her biggest dream was to be a mentor who can inspire young girls in the society.

The beautiful Njambi who is a true testament of beauty with brains added that: “I believe in three things giving, reaching for your dreams and working hard.”

Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle was crowned the top winner while Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramirez of the Dominican Republic was the First Runners up.
