KTN's investigative journalist Mohammed Ali has finally spoken on his alleged arrest that left many questioning the accuracy of the reports.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Ali confirmed that the information was pure falsehood propagated by social media 'thugs'.
"Wachana na hizi vitu za blog. Hao ni watoto hawana kazi ya kufanya. They have no life ni kusumbua tu na kuongea ill about others (These bloggers are like children, they do not have jobs to do but to speak ill about others, so don't pay attention to them)," he said.
The Jicho Pevu reporter further noted that the propaganda was being propelled to intimidate bold journalists in the country.
He added that 'funded bloggers' were being misused by politicians to stop vocal people from challenging crucial national issues.
On Wednesday, Ali was spotted at Pangani Station where CORD leaders had flocked demanding to see their leaders.
The journalist, however, stated that he was at the station for a different matter altogether.
Claims that Ali was arrested emerged on Tuesday as five ODM MPs and Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) chairman Babu Owino were apprehended over hateful remarks.
