Fears of a Terror Attack in Migori Lead to Closure of Teachers College

The  Migori Teachers Training College has been closed down owing to fears of a terror attack.

All the 200 in-service teachers pursuing  Kenya Institute of Special Education (Kise) and special education courses left the institution Sunday, with police moving in to secure the area.

According to a report by the Daily Nation, Migori County Police Commander David Kirui has said they are in possession of "valuable" information regarding a potential terrorist attack in the region.

The closure of teachers training college comes hours after the Kenya Medical Training College Garissa campus was shutdown due to security concerns.
