The normal activities of a farm took turn for the most unexpected and shocking of situations as residents discovered the body of a woman, said to be killed by her farm hand in Thunguri village in Mukurweini.
The middle aged woman's body was found stripped of clothes and discarded in maize plantation.
The deceased had allegedly complained of the farm laborer’s conduct to her husband who then proceeded to fire the worker.
As a result, the suspect is said to have held a bitter grudge against the woman.
Speaking to Citizen News relatives of the deceased said that suspect had on several occasions threatened to go back to the homestead by force.
They further claimed that he could have raped her before strangling to her death, owing to the fact that the body was found naked.
The suspect is in police custody.
In the meantime, police investigations into the matter continue.
