What had been expected to be a normal day on the job for four officers turned out to be the last after a road accident claimed their lives in Isiolo.
The four were part of the elite recce squad had been deployed to Archer's Post for security surveillance in preparation for President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit visit to the area on Thursday.
The unfortunate incident is said to have taken place when one of the tires on the car they were traveling in burst causing the driver to lose control of the car.
The car rolled several times and the four died on the spot.
Rift Valley Regional Coordinator Gideon Amala confirmed the incident to The Star.
