A fight erupted at a bar in Musoli, Kakamega County, pitting Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers and Kenya Police officers over unpaid bill.
A police report obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed that the incident occurred on Sunday after three officers got into the bar for an evening of unwinding.
The bar owner, who reported the incident, told authorities that he had served the trio drinks totaling Ksh4,250 but they refused to settle the bill.
He further noted that while they were leaving, they stole his phone and when he followed them outside the bar, they began beating him up.
"The commotion attracted members of the public and police officers who were on foot patrol within Musoli Centre," read the police report in part.
Officers from Musoli Police Station, which is located 500 meters away, responded to the commotion and the drunk officers fought them as well, raining on them with kicks and fists.
The offenders were, however, subdued before being arrested.
"They were placed in custody while very violent and drunk. They also maliciously damaged the cell's steel door," added the police report.
"The three refused to give their names and particulars but are suspected to be KDF and Kenya Police officers."
"They were all placed in custody for the offences of assault, assaulting police officers and malicious damage to property," the report further added.
The police indicated that the suspects are in custody and are awaiting identification by military police and National Police Service (NPS).
This comes a day after two separate incidents involving the police officers and their KDF counterparts were recorded at the Likoni Ferry and Rabai Sub-County.
A video clip that went around on Saturday showed five on-duty servicemen beat up police officers and security officers stationed at Likoni Ferry.
The other incident saw a KDF officer stationed at Garissa storm a police station at Rabai Sub-county, Kilifi County, and free a suspect who was his cousin.
