A 13 year old girl is seeking justice against her uncle who is an assistant chief for allegedly defiling her repeatedly.
The girl who spoke to The Standard says that the incident happened after her aunt left her in his care as she went for a funeral in Uganda.
Her uncle, Danniel Simiyu who is the sub chief of Musingu Sub-location, Malava Constituency, Kakamega County reportedly dragged her to his bed where he raped her several times.
The girl says that he later on threatened to kill her if she told anyone what happened.
She says the police have failed to take any action despite her aunt reporting the matter to Malava Police Station.
Her aunt took her to Malava sub-county hospital after she confided in her and medical reports showed that the girl was indeed defiled.
The aunt, who has since separated from her husband says that despite all their attempts to get justice, the man still walks a free man.
Simiyu has denied the allegations claiming that the two are out to defame him.
