Governor Joseph Ndathi Warns Waiguru, Karua Over Continued Insults

Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi has warned former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua and  Kirinyaga Central MP Gachoki Gitari to stop insulting him if they want peace.

Speaking on Thursday, Ndathi told his political rivals, who are in the race to dethrone him during the August 8 elections, to conduct peaceful campaigns without tarnishing his name.

“For the sake of peace, they should conduct their campaigns in a civilised manner.

“Everyone has a right to contest the county's top seat and my rivals should leave voters to decide who will take over the gubernatorial seat in the August polls," the Governor was quoted.

Mr Ndathi exuded confidence that he would trounce his opponents terming them "politically inexperienced."

"A majority of the aspirants are beginners and may even give up their ambition before the elections... Having been in politics for long, I'm more experienced than most of my rivals and I will definitely floor them," Ndathi affirmed.
