Governor Kidero and Kibera MP Ken Okoth Endorse Raila for Presidency

Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero and Kibera Member of Parliament Ken Okoth on Sunday indicated that it is either former Prime Minister Raila Odinga be declared flag bearer or no National Super Alliance (NASA).

Speaking after Palm Sunday service at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Kibera, the two Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders noted that the only way NASA could defeat Jubilee is by making Raila the flag bearer.

Governor Kidero emphasised that Raila was the only leader in the coalition that could win the presidential elections.

Okoth on his part indicated that the other coalition principals should stop requesting Raila to step down for them since he was the most experienced and most likely candidate to defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"People are saying that no Kalonzo no NASA what they need to know is that no Raila no NASA victory," Okoth stated.

The Opposition coalition has in the past few weeks been marred by threats of dissolution with the latest being National Assembly Minority leader Francis Nyenze threatening that Wiper Party would quit the coalition if Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was not declared flag bearer.

The remarks by Nyenze caused a lot of reactions with different parties in the coalition coming out strongly to condemn his utterances.

The coalition Principals on Sunday went for a retreat to deliberate on the status report from NASA National Coordinating Committee on the choice of flag bearer.
