GSU Accused of Brutally Beating Woman to Death

A group of General Service Unit officers in Laikipa West are accused of beating a woman to death during an illicit brew crackdown.

Reports indicate that the officers attacked the woman in her house and beat her mercilessly.

Efforts to get medical assistance for the victim by residents of Gatirima village where the incident took place proved futile as she succumbed to the injuries.

Angered by the thought of one of their own having being murdered by the very people charged with protecting them, locals have called for action from the government.

This is not an isolated case as several cases of police brutality have been reported from across the country.

Most of the officers accused of the incidents are not brought to justice as family members are intimidated into silence.

The police are yet to give an official statement on the alleged killing of the woman.
