A guard at a gated community where Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) Chairman Isaac Hassan lives in Karen was earlier shot and wounded.
The gang of about four is alleged to have shot the guard Wednesday morning, after he tried to deny them access into the compound.
Langata OCPD Elijah Mwangi has said Hassan was not in the country at the time of the incident, adding that it is not clear who the target of the incident was since there are about 20 houses in that gated compound, The Standard reports.
This comes as a second shooting incident revolving around the IEBC chairman, following a target on his car in February 2013, but he was not on board.
