Here are Areas to be Affected by the Massive Water Shutdown in Nairobi

The Nairobi Central Business District and most areas in Nairobi will be hit by a water shutdown starting July 1.

This follows an announcement by the NWCS, stating that the Ng’ethu Water treatment plant will be shut down for system maintenance, on the phase dividing chamber.

According to the Star the 36 hours long water shutdown will begin from July 1 at 6am to July 2 6pm,

The areas that will be affected are; The whole city centre, University of Nairobi Main Campus, Coca Cola Factory, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, EPZ Athi River, The whole of Industrial Area.



Areas along Mombasa Road: South B, South C and their environs.



Areas along Juja Road: Mlango Kubwa, the whole of Mathare, Eastleigh Air Force Base, Huruma, Kariobangi, Pangani, Eastleigh.

Areas along Jogoo Road: Maringo, Buru Buru and the surrounding Estates, Bahati Estate.

Areas along Outer Ring Road: Baba Dogo, Dandora, Dandora KCC factory, Umoja, Donholm, Fedha, Tassia, Avenue Park, Nyayo Embakasi.

Areas along Kangundo Road: Ruai, Kayole, Kimarock, Njiru.

Areas along Thika Road: Kenya Breweries, Kenyatta University, Kahawa Barracks, Kasarani, Mwiki, Kahawa Sukari, Garden Estate,Thome Estate.

Areas along Limuru Road: Parklands, Ngara, Aga Khan Hospital, University of Nairobi - School of Law and City Park areas, United Nations - Gigiri, Muthaiga.

Areas around Mountain View: Naivasha Road, Kangemi, Satellite, Kawangware, Waithaka and the surrounding areas.
