Here's What Uhuru Told Obama on his Birthday

US President Barack Obama celebrated his 54th birthday today.

As expected, countless people from across the world took to various platforms -especially social media- to send birthday wishes to Obama.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta was not left behind.

He wished Obama a happy birthday via a tweet and took the opportunity to extend an invitation for a visit to the Mara.

The Mara visit invitation was in reference to a remark Obama made when he had visited Kenya for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

He had expressed the wish to visit Maasai Mara and climb Mt. Kenya during an interview with Capital News.

President Kenyatta has been the only Kenyan president to fully embrace and take advantage of social media as a platform to connect and communicate with the public.

Yesterday, the number of Uhuru's followers on Twitter hit an all time high at one million.

Here is the message on twitter, from one president to another:

.@BarackObama Happy 54th!The land of your father, #MagicalKenya wishes you many African sunsets, the Mara awaits you! pic.twitter.com/DEz1eMmQXg
