History as Kenya Wins Singapore 7s

The Kenya Rugby Sevens team, Shujaa, will go into the history books after winning it's  inaugural title at Singapore Sevens Circiut.

Shujaa, ranked eighth in the world, overcame series leaders Fiji 30-7 to lift the coveted Main Cup at the Singapore Sevens Cup.

Deputy skipper Collins Injera scored his 224th try placing him at only two tries away from the top try scorer who leads with 226 tries.

It was Kenya’s first Cup final appearance this season after having reached the semi-final in Cape Town. The team has however been battling with inconsistencies and injuries after key player Biko Adema was sidelined with an injury.

This is Kenya’s third ever Cup final appearance after good shows in Adelaide 2009 and Wellington in 2013.
