This Is How Kidero Has Covered Nairobians Against El-Nino Floods

The Nairobi County Government is well prepared for the predicted El-nino rains.

Nairobi Governor, Evans Kidero has assured Nairobians that his Government is currently working to ensure that the rains do not catch the city unaware.

The Kenya Meteorology Department warned Kenyans of El-nino rains from October to December.

The Governor said that drainage pipes in the city were being cleared to allow free flow of flood waters.

Kidero also pointed out that buildings that were interfering with the drainage had been demolished, with the exercise still ongoing.

The recent floods in the city caused loss of lives and damaged property.

Residents were inconvenienced on the roads, with many spending upto 10 hours commuting.
